Why people go looking

Three reasons to want an alternative

Phone-controlled party games are a great format. The friction is never the format - it is the console, the price, and the one person who owns it.

“Can you play without a console?”

No console needed

Quizado runs in a browser. Cast from a laptop, tablet or phone to the TV, or plug in an HDMI cable. No Switch, no PlayStation, no gaming PC in the living room.

“Are there free games like this?”

Actually free

Il Home include pacchetti iniziali gratuiti, punteggi dal vivo e gioco sul grande schermo per un massimo di 4 giocatori. Nessuna carta di credito richiesta. Passa a un piano a pagamento quando servono partite più grandi o funzioni premium.

“What about 20 people?”

Built for a full room

Guests play in teams, and a team can share one phone. Try it free with 4 phones, then a paid plan fits the whole crowd. No audience-mode second-class seating.

Side by side

Quizado vs. the party games you already know

All three put the game on a screen and the controls in your hand. They differ on what you need to own and who has to run it.

Different animals, honestly: a drawing game is chaos and a quiz is competition. If your group argues about answers rather than laughs at doodles, a quiz is the better night.

Setup

On screen in about five minutes

1

Open it on the TV

Cast a browser tab from a laptop or phone, or use an HDMI cable. Nothing to install anywhere.

2

Everyone scans the code

A join code and QR sit on screen. Guests scan, name their team, pick a mascot. Late arrivals join mid-game and can still win.

3

Press play and sit down

Pick a free pack, tick Auto-Host in the lobby, and play along with everyone else. It times, reveals and scores.

Free plan, whole night

Eligible free Bar Trivia starter packs, live scoring and up to 4 players. No card required; paid formats are separate.

Questions

Phone-controlled party games: FAQ

Yes. Quizado runs in any modern browser, so a laptop, tablet or phone is enough. Cast the tab or plug in HDMI to get it on the big screen - no console, no download, and no install for your guests either.
Quizado’s free Home plan includes starter question packs, phone buzzers, live scoring and big-screen play for up to 4 players and 2 games per day, with no credit card. Larger games need a paid plan. Creating your own question sets and media questions is free on every plan; playing them requires Pro or Business.
Put people in teams and share a phone per team - it makes for a better game because teams talk. The free plan covers 4 phones, enough to try it with a small group. For a room of twenty, a paid plan lifts the player cap.
Share your screen on the call and everyone still answers on their own phone, so remote players aren't stuck shouting over each other. It is the same game, just with the big screen streamed.
No. They open a link or scan the code and they are in - no app store, no sign-up. Only the host has an account.
That is what it is built for. One tap per answer, questions shown large on the TV, and packs graded easy to hard so you can start somewhere nobody gets crushed.
Free - no console

Everyone's already holding a controller

Put a quiz on the TV and let the room play from their phones. Free tonight.
