Casting and the TV apps work with Trivia, Family Feud and Jeopardy. You host in the Quizado app on an iPhone or an Android phone. The browser cannot cast: on the web, open your venue screen link in the TV's browser instead.
Tap the cast button
Start your game in the Quizado app on your phone. Tap the cast button next to Game screen.
Pick the TV
Pick the Chromecast, Google TV or Android TV the room watches. The TV shows the board, and your phone keeps the host view with the answers.
Or use the Quizado TV app
On an Apple TV or Android TV, install and open Quizado. Type the six digits that your host app shows beside Game screen. The TV connects over the internet, so it does not need the same Wi-Fi as your phone.
Let the Apple TV run the night
The Apple TV app can also host a Trivia night by itself with Auto-Host. Scan the QR code on the TV with your phone and choose Allow on the page that opens. Then pick a pack on the TV.
Tips
- Casting needs your phone and the Chromecast on the same Wi-Fi. A bar's guest Wi-Fi is often a different network from the TV's.
- The first time, the app asks for permission to find devices on your network: Local Network on iPhone, Nearby devices on Android. Allow it, or the app cannot see the TV.
- Casting is not available in a game you host offline.
Vragen
Can I cast from the web app in my browser?
No. On the web, open your venue screen link in the TV's browser, or plug a laptop into the TV. See the articles on the big screen.
The cast list is empty. What now?
Check that the TV is on and that your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecast. The app lists the usual causes for you.
What does the TV show when the game ends?
The final board stays on the TV. Stop casting from the cast button to clear it.
