Sports Bar Trivia for the Nights With No Game On
You already own the screens. On a dead Tuesday in the off-season, put a quiz on them instead of a highlight reel nobody is watching.

The season table on your TV. Each team's place on their own phone. Leagues are part of Business.
The weeks with no fixtures are the weeks your regulars find another bar.
A sports bar lives and dies by the fixture list. When there is a derby on, the room runs itself. When the season breaks, the same twelve screens show wallpaper to eleven people.
Trivia is the cheapest way to give those nights a draw, because you are not buying anything new. The screens, the sound system and the staff are already on the payroll.
Sports bars are also loud, and a shouted answer is a scoring argument waiting to happen. Phone buzzers and answers on the phone take the judgement call away from the person holding the microphone.

Six things it does for your takings.

Fills a quiet night
A draw for the night with no game on.

Brings them back
A season title to chase, the way they follow their own team.

Keeps them for another round
Breaks and your offers on the screen.

Lets you write to your regulars
Players opt in. You send the next quiz night.

Gets you talked about
A post with your name on it, every night.

Keeps the margin
A bartender hosts. One flat monthly price.
How a night runs in a sports bar.
One screen for the quiz. The others keep whatever you normally show.
Choose the screen
Decide in advance what happens to the other screens. The simplest plan is one screen for the quiz, sound off elsewhere, and a short announcement that tells people where to look.
Before doorsPhones, not shouting
Teams scan the code and name themselves. In a Buzzer Race the first buzz takes the question and that team shows on the screen, so nobody works out who shouted loudest.
Kick-offTwo sports rounds in six
If every round is sport, you win the twelve people who already know everything and lose everyone who came with them. Split the rest across music, film, general knowledge and a picture round.
Half timeFinish before the whistle
If a big fixture lands on your quiz night, run the quiz early and finish before kick-off rather than skipping it. A team that turns up to a cancelled quiz usually does not come back.
Full timeWhat does a night have to earn?
We will not promise you a sales figure. Nobody honestly can. Here is the number you have to beat, with your own prices.
Your venue
Business, the plan for venues, at €199 a month.
That is €49.75 a night. Every guest after that is margin.
Three games to start with.
Straight answers.
Will a game night bring more people in?
We cannot promise a number, and you should doubt anyone who does. What we can say: a weekly game gives people a reason to choose your venue on a quiet night, the league gives teams a reason to return, and the recap gives them something to post. The free plan lets you test it on a real night before you pay.
What does it cost against what it takes?
One flat price a month, however many nights you run. Use the calculator above with your own prices. At four nights a month, a few extra guests a night cover it.
Can I contact the players afterwards?
Yes, the ones who agree. A player can opt in on their phone to hear from your venue. On Business you write to those players from Quizado, by email and as a notification in the Quizado app, and you can download the list. League players also get the standings by email in your venue's name.
Can I run the quiz on the screens I already have?
Yes. The game screen goes to a TV or a projector by Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV or an HDMI cable. You do not buy or rent a dedicated screen.
Does it work when the bar is too loud to hear the host?
Yes. The question shows on the screen and on every player phone, and teams answer on the phone. The host sets the pace, but the quiz does not depend on the room hearing them.
How do I stop arguments about who buzzed first?
Players buzz on their phones instead of shouting. The first buzz takes the question and that team goes on the screen, so the host does not have to pick a winner out of the noise.
Where do sports questions come from?
Three places. Free packs on every plan, the premium library from Starter, and AI questions on every paid plan: type a league, a decade or a club and get a round back. Writing your own questions is free on every plan; hosting a pack you wrote needs Pro or Business.
Can I run a season-long standings table?
Yes, on Business. A league keeps a running table across the weeks, so teams chase a title rather than a single night.
Do my guests need an app?
No. They scan the QR code on the screen or type the join code into a browser. No download, no account.
How many teams can play?
The free Home plan takes up to 4 player phones. Paid plans have no limit on players.
Does bar trivia work without internet?
Trivia needs a connection, because players answer on their phones. Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory run with no internet from the desktop and mobile apps, on a paid plan.
Fill the next gap in the fixture list.
Open a ready-made night and put the code on one screen. The free plan needs no card. Choose a plan after you have counted the tables.
