What does a weekly night cost next to a quiz company?
One national quiz company starts at $195 a show, with agreements of 16 weeks or more. By our sum, four shows a month at that rate come to $780. Quizado is one flat monthly price, however many nights you run: see the live price.
Who runs the night? Do you send a host?
Auto-Host runs it, or your bartender does. Auto-Host runs a trivia night by itself: it opens answering, runs the clock, reveals, scores and moves on, so no quiz master is needed. The questions show on the screen. Or a bartender, a manager or any host you choose runs it from a phone. Quizado is software, not a hosted event: we do not send a person, so there is no date to book with us.
How long is a game, and how hard is it to run?
You pick the length. The night builder makes a Trivia night as long as you choose (up to 30 minutes on the free plan), and on a paid plan the AI writes a game of 30 minutes to 2 hours. Auto-Host opens answering, runs the clock, reveals, scores and moves to the next question by itself. It does not read the questions aloud: the room reads them on the screen.
How many teams or phones can play?
On the free Home plan, Trivia takes up to 4 player phones per game, and you can start 2 games in 24 hours. Teams you score yourself, without phones, have no cap. Paid plans have no player cap.
Do my guests need an app?
No. They scan the QR code on the screen or type the join code into a browser. No download, no account.
Can the game show on more than one screen?
Yes. Copy the screen link in the host app and open it on each TV or computer. Every screen in the venue shows the same game. Chromecast, Apple TV and Android TV work too.
Can we run music rounds and themed nights?
Yes. Catch That Tune puts music questions inside Trivia: teams pick the song from a clip. Music Bingo is on Pro and Business. Your venue holds whatever music licence it needs; Quizado provides none. For themed nights, the premium catalogue has themed packs (Halloween, Christmas, the 80s and more), new Game Nights arrive every week, and on every paid plan the AI writes questions on any topic you give it.
Can I use my own questions?
Yes. You can write questions on every plan. Hosting a pack you wrote needs Pro or Business. Below that, use the ready-made library or an AI night.
Does bar trivia work without internet?
Trivia needs a connection, because players answer on their phones. Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory run with no internet from the desktop and mobile apps, on a paid plan.
Is there a contract?
No. Plans are monthly or yearly and you can cancel when you want. The free plan stays.
What is bar trivia?
A hosted quiz night in a venue. Teams answer rounds of questions, scores go up between rounds, and the winning table takes a prize. Quizado handles the questions, the buzzing and the scoring.
Can I contact the players afterwards?
Yes, the ones who agree. A player can opt in on their phone to hear from your venue. On Business you write to those players from Quizado, by email and as a notification in the Quizado app, and you can download the list. League players also get the standings by email in your venue's name.
Will a game night bring more people in?
We cannot promise a number, and you should doubt anyone who does. What we can say: a weekly game gives people a reason to choose your venue on a quiet night, the league gives teams a reason to return, and the recap gives them something to post. The free plan lets you test it on a real night before you pay.
