Four rules worth

Ask for a list, not a fact
"Name something you take on a picnic" has six good answers. "What year was the picnic invented" has one.
Keep it common knowledge
Anything your group would all guess at. Specialist trivia belongs in a different round.
Weight the obvious answer
The first thing everyone says should be worth the most. That is what makes the reveal land.
Survey it if you can
Ask your own group beforehand and use the response counts. It is funnier when the answers are theirs.
