iPhone Duo

The whole game night in one folded phone.

Fold your iPhone Duo. The outer screen faces the room and shows the game. The inner screen is your controller, held like a gamepad.

No TV, no laptop, no cables. Host Territory, Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Trivia from the Quizado app for iPhone. A TV on AirPlay still works too.

Needs an iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1 or later. Works on every plan.

1 of 6This is iPhone Duo, closed. It has a second screen on the outside, about the size of one half of the inner screen.

The animation shows Territory on one iPhone Duo in six steps:

  1. This is iPhone Duo, closed. It has a second screen on the outside, about the size of one half of the inner screen.
  2. Open it like a book. The big inner screen is your host panel.
  3. Fold it to about 90 degrees. Hold the flat half like a gamepad, then tap Turn on the room screen.
  4. The outer screen faces the room. Teams see the picture and both clocks.
  5. The inner screen faces you. You read the answer. Tap Correct, and the other team's clock starts.
  6. Close the phone, and the room screen goes off. The duel pauses at once. Fold it back to about 90 degrees and tap Resume.

LiveThe room sees the outer screen. You hold the inner one.

How it works

Fold, tap, play.

Start a game in the iPhone app as usual. Once it runs, three steps put it on the room screen.

1

Fold to about 90 degrees

Stand the half with the outer screen up, facing the room. Hold the flat half like a gamepad.

2

Turn on the room screen

Tap Turn on the room screen. The chip turns green and reads Room screen on, and the room sees the game.

3

Read up, press down

The upright half shows what you read: the answer only you see, the clocks, the scores. The flat half holds the buttons.

Four games

Every game gets its own gamepad.

The buttons change with the game. The main button sits under your right thumb, the miss under your left.

01Territory

Judge the duel with your thumbs.

  • Pass and Correct sit under your thumbs.
  • The room sees the picture large on the outer screen, with both clocks.
  • The answer shows on your half only.

Why the camera dot is on

The camera runs. Nothing is recorded.

iOS lets an app show its own picture on the iPhone Duo's outer screen only while the app uses the camera. So while the room screen is on, Quizado runs the back camera, and you see the camera dot.

Turn off the room screen, or leave the game, and the camera stops.

Room screen offRoom screen on
  • No preview. The camera runs with nothing on screen.
  • Nothing is recorded or sent.
  • You allow it once. iOS asks for the camera the first time you turn on the room screen.
Questions

Before you fold.

Which phones does this work on?

The room screen needs an iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1 or later and the Quizado app for iPhone. On any other phone, show the game on a TV or projector instead.

Which plans include it?

Every plan, the free Home plan too. Each game keeps its usual plan rules: premium packs need Starter or higher, the Home plan admits up to 4 player phones in Trivia, and Music Bingo needs Pro or Business.

Does it need internet?

The room screen needs no internet: it uses the camera, not the network. The games play offline on a paid plan or in the trial.

Can I still use a TV?

Yes. A TV or projector on AirPlay or a cable shows the same game as the outer screen, and the game sounds play on the TV.

Which parts stay on the normal panel?

The lobby, audience votes, slides, the Family Face-Off Speed Round and the final standings keep the normal control panel. The outer screen still shows the game during them.

iPhone Duo

Fold it. Face the room. Host.

Get the Quizado app for iPhone and run your next game night from one phone.
