Choosing built-in sounds, turning a sound off and setting volumes work on every plan. You can upload your own sounds on any plan too, but the room hears them only on Business. On other plans an uploaded sound plays the built-in sound instead.
Open your venue's Sounds section
In the sidebar, click Settings. Under Venues, click your venue, then click Sounds under the venue.
Find the game moment
The sounds come in three groups: Game moments (for example Timer Tick, Correct Answer, Wrong Answer and Buzz In), Effects and Finale.
Preview and pick a built-in sound
Click the play button on a sound card to hear it. Click the card to use that sound. Click None to play no sound at that moment.
Upload your own sound (Business)
Click Upload Custom and choose an audio file: MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC or M4A, up to 50 MB. The card then shows Custom Sound, and Preview plays it.
Set the volume
Drag the volume slider under the sound. Each sound keeps its own volume. Every change saves at once.
Tips
- Every venue keeps its own sounds. Set up each venue on its own.
- Open the game screen before your night and check the sound level in the room.
Questions
Why does the room still hear the built-in sound after I uploaded mine?
Uploaded sounds play to the room on the Business plan. On other plans the app keeps your file and plays the built-in sound for that moment.
Can I turn one sound off?
Yes. Click None for that moment. The other sounds still play.
Where do the sounds play?
Most of them play on the game screen, so connect the big screen to your speakers. A few, like a wrong answer, also play on player phones.
