You can start a Trivia night on every plan, including the free Home plan. On Home you get the free packs, up to 4 player phones and 2 game starts in any 24 hours. Premium packs need Starter, and hosting your own pack needs Pro.
Choose Trivia
In the sidebar, click New Game. Under Choose a format, click Trivia.
Pick a question pack
Under Add your questions, stay on Question Packs and click a pack. Packs marked FREE play on every plan. To use a pack you made, open Custom Packs instead.
Open the lobby
Under Review & launch, check the questions, rounds and minutes. Keep Start now selected and click Start game. The lobby opens with your players code.
Put the game on the big screen
Click Game Screen in the top bar. A new window opens with the join QR code. Move it to your TV or projector.
Let the teams join
Players scan the QR code or type the code on their phones. Each new team appears under Teams. You need at least one team to start.
Start the game
Click Start Game, then click Start: with the first round name. Or pick Auto-Host and Quizado runs the whole night for you.
Run each question
Press the main action button, or the space bar, to move on. Its label tells you what comes next, such as Lock Answers, Reveal Answer or Next Question.
Tips
- Choose Schedule instead of Start now to put the night on your calendar for later.
- Click the players code in the top bar to copy the join link for a group chat.
- To close the lobby without playing, click End Game in the top bar.
Questions
Why can't I start another game on the free plan?
The Home plan allows 2 game starts in any 24 hours, and every start counts. A paid plan or the 7-day trial removes the limit.
Do players need an app or an account?
No. Players join in their phone browser with the QR code or the code on the screen. They only type a team name.
Can I use my own questions?
Yes. Build a pack under Custom Questions and pick it under Custom Packs. You can build a pack on any plan, and hosting it needs Pro.
