Price Check is on every plan. On the free plan, up to 4 phones can join and you can start 2 games in 24 hours. Each team needs a phone, and the room needs a big screen.
Choose Price Check
Select New Game in the sidebar, then select the Price Check card.
Pick how teams bid
On the Tonight card, under Price bids, pick All at once or In turn. In turn, teams bid one by one, 15 seconds each, and nobody can repeat a number.
Start the night
Select Play. Quizado builds a fresh night from the price bank and opens the lobby. Teams join on their phones with the code. Then select Start Game.
Teams bid on their phones
Each question shows a famous item with its place and date. Teams type a bid on the keypad and tap Lock in with the amount. Only you see the price on the host panel. In turn, the host panel has a Skip button for a team that does not bid.
Reveal the price
Select Reveal Answer. The big screen counts up to the price and marks every bid that went over. The closest bid without going over scores, and an exact bid scores double.
Play the mini-game
Each round ends with a mini-game: Higher or lower, Priciest of 3 or Line them up. The teams with the most points in the round play it for double. The big screen shows Leaders' double. In a round that hides its scores, nobody is named: only the leading team's phones show the x2.
Play the Showcase
In the last round, only the top 2 teams play. They bid once on a bundle of 3 items. A bid within 1% of the price doubles the points. The highest total wins the night.
Tips
- Select Edit as a pack instead of Play to open the night in the pack builder and change it before you play. Play this night plays the free Price Check Starter Night instead.
- Every Trivia round has Round rules in its round settings: Answer in turn, Finals: only the top teams play and Leaders play the last question for double.
- In the pack builder, a Number question can use the Keypad and the scoring rule Closest without going over. An Order question puts 3 to 6 items in order. Select Pick from the price bank to fill one from the bank.
- Prices show in their own currency, with the place and the date. Every price in the bank has a source.
Questions
Can I mix price questions with trivia?
Yes. Price questions are normal Number and Order questions. Add them to any pack next to trivia and music rounds.
What happens when every team goes over?
Nobody scores that question, and the big screen says Everyone went over!
What if two teams bid the same amount?
With all at once, both teams score if it is the closest bid. In turn, a team cannot repeat a number that another team already bid.
Who plays the Showcase if teams are tied?
The top 2 teams play, plus every team tied with the second place. Every other team sits it out and loses nothing.
Does Price Check work offline?
No. Price Check is a Trivia game, and Trivia needs an internet connection.
