Open questions and score changes work on every plan, including the free Home plan. You write open questions in your own pack, and hosting your own pack needs Pro. A typed answer that matches the reference answer is marked for you.
Watch the answers arrive
While the question is open, each team's answer appears on its own card. A card that waits for you says Needs you. Switch between All at once and One by one at the top.
Mark each answer
Click Correct or Wrong on each card. Or use the keys: the right arrow marks correct, the left arrow or N marks wrong, and the up and down arrows move between cards.
Reveal the answer
Click Reveal Answer. The marks turn into points on the scoreboard. An answer you did not mark counts as wrong, so the panel asks first.
Change a mark after the reveal
To change a mark, undo the reveal first. Press U or Ctrl+Z, click the other button on the card, then click Reveal Answer again.
Type a new score
Under Scores, click a team's score, type the new number and press Enter. Escape cancels. The - and + buttons beside it take off or add 10 points.
Tips
- Add a reference answer to an open question in the pack builder. Answers that match it are marked for you, and the card says Auto:. Check them before you reveal.
- A drawn answer shows as a picture on its card, so you can judge it like a typed one.
- Type whole numbers only. The score you type replaces the old one.
Questions
Can I mark answers before I lock the question?
Yes. You can mark each card as soon as it arrives. A team can still change its answer until you mark it.
Why can't I change a mark after I revealed the answer?
The reveal has already given out the points. Press U or Ctrl+Z to undo the reveal, change the mark, then reveal again.
Do the players see a score I change by hand?
Yes. The new score replaces the old one everywhere: on the big screen scoreboard, in the standings and in the final results.
