Tie-breaks work in Trivia on every plan, including the free Home plan. The options show on the final screen only when two or more teams share the top score.
See the tie
When the game ends level at the top, the final screen says It's a Tie! and offers Play a tie-break.
Choose the question
Click Next question from the pack, Random question or Pick a question. To pick, search the Quizado library or Your questions and click a question to preview it.
Play the sudden-death question
Click Play this question. Only the tied teams answer; the other teams watch. The panel shows Sudden death and the names of the tied teams.
Reveal the winner
Lock and reveal with the main button as usual. The right answer earns the round's points. If the panel stays on the question, click Back to Results in the Sudden death bar to show the winner.
Tips
- Click Share the win to name the tied teams joint winners. Click Play a tie-break instead to take it back.
- Random question picks a multiple-choice question from the Quizado library, in a category you played tonight.
- In a Wager round, the tie-break plays without bets, like Fastest Finger.
Questions
Does a wrong answer cost points in a tie-break?
No. A tie-break charges no penalty for a wrong answer or for no answer. Only the right answer scores.
What if the teams are still level after the tie-break?
Click Back to Results on the tie-break panel. The final screen offers the tie-break options again, so you can play another question or share the win.
Can the other teams answer the tie-break?
No. Their phones say they are watching the tie-breaker. Only the tied teams can answer.
