Sound works on every plan. Before the night, connect the computer that runs Quizado to the TV or the room speakers. Sound effects play on the Game Screen, and music clips play from the computer with the control panel, not from the phones.
Open the Game Screen
In the lobby, click Game Screen in the top bar and move the window to the TV. The TV or the speaker plays what this computer plays.
Click the Game Screen once
Browsers stay quiet until someone clicks a window once. Click anywhere on the Game Screen before the players arrive.
Open the Sound panel
Click the speaker button in the top bar of the control panel. Gold means sound plays. Plays on shows whether sound comes from the Game Screen or This device.
Play a test sound
Click Play a test sound. Quizado asks Did the room hear it? If you click No, it tells you what to check: the speaker or TV volume, and that the Game Screen plays through it.
Choose the room and the phones
Sounds in the room turns sound effects on or off on this device and every Game Screen. Sounds on players' phones lets each phone play its own results.
Tips
- Phones stay quiet in a round without Play sounds and music on player devices. Turn it on in the round's Edit round settings for a quiz over a video call.
- Players can mute their own phone. The host can turn phone sounds off for everyone.
- To change which sound plays at each moment, go to Settings, your venue, Sounds.
Questions
Why is the Game Screen silent?
The browser blocks sound until someone clicks the window. Click the Game Screen once. The speaker button then turns gold.
Do the music clips play on the big screen?
The clips play from the computer that runs the control panel. Connect it to the room speakers, or turn on sound on the phones for a remote quiz.
Can I use my own sounds?
Yes. Upload them under Settings, your venue, Sounds. The room hears custom sounds on the Business plan.
