Captions are on the video.
Gameplay defaults work on every plan, the free Home plan too. They belong to one venue, so set them for each venue you host at. Changes save as you make them.
Open your venue's Gameplay section
In the sidebar, click Settings. Under Venues, click your venue, then click Gameplay under the venue.
Set the question timer
Drag the Question timer slider (Seconds teams get to answer). It goes from 10 to 60 seconds. The default is 30 seconds.
Choose auto-lock
Turn Auto-lock on timeout on to Stop accepting answers at zero. Turn it off if you want to close each question yourself. It is on by default.
Keep the join QR on the game screen
Turn on Always show join QR to Keep a small join code in the corner of the game screen all game. Late teams can then join without asking. It is on by default.
Check the Auto-Host defaults
Under Auto-Host, choose how a night runs when Auto-Host is on: Start on its own, Between rounds, Pace and Untimed rounds.
Tips
- The defaults apply to the next Trivia game you start at this venue. A game that is already running keeps its settings.
- Any game can override these defaults while you host.
- With the join QR off, the game screen still shows your venue logo in that corner.
Questions
Do I have to set this for every game?
No. Set it once per venue. Every new Trivia game at that venue starts with these defaults.
What happens when the timer reaches zero with auto-lock off?
Teams can still answer. You close the question yourself from your control panel.
I have two venues. Do they share these settings?
No. Each venue keeps its own gameplay defaults. Open each venue and set them there.
