Free on every plan. The Host Coach is off until you turn it on. It is saved to your account, so it works at every venue and on every device you sign in on.
Open the invitation in the lobby
Open a lobby. At the top you see New to hosting? Try the Host Coach. Click Show me. The window Meet your Host Coach shows an example of the card.
Turn it on
Click Turn on. The window closes and the card takes the place of the invitation. Click Not now if you want to decide later.
Read the card
Do tells you what to do at this moment. Say out loud gives you one line to say to the room. Up next names the moment that comes after this one. The card changes by itself when the game moves on.
Get another line
Do not like the line? Click Another line. Each moment has many lines, so you can keep clicking.
Hide the card
Click Hide. The card folds into a small Host Coach button. A dot on it tells you that a new moment started. Click the button to open the card again.
Turn it off in Settings
In the sidebar, click Settings. Under Venues, click your venue, then click Gameplay. Turn Host Coach off. The invitation in the lobby then does not come back. What is this? opens the same window as the lobby.
Tips
- Only you see the Host Coach. It never shows on the big screen or on the players' phones.
- When a question has a fun fact, the card shows the fun fact as the line to say after the reveal, marked Fun fact.
- The Host Coach works in every game: Trivia, Price Check, Catch That Tune, Music Bingo, Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory.
- Click the X on the invitation if you do not want it. It does not come back. The invitation also stops after your fifth finished night.
- On a short screen the card starts folded. Click Host Coach to open it. It then stays open on that device.
- On a device that has not downloaded the lines yet, the card shows only Do. The lines to say come once that device is online.
Questions
What does the Host Coach cost?
Nothing. It is free on every plan, the free Home plan too, and it uses no AI questions.
Can the players see it?
No. It is on your host panel only. The big screen and the phones never show it.
I turned it off. How do I turn it on again?
Open Settings, your venue, then Gameplay, and turn Host Coach on. The setting is saved to your account, for every venue.
Can I use it in the Mobile Apps?
Yes. The Mobile Apps show the same card, the invitation in the lobby and the setting.
