Offline play works in the desktop app and in the iOS and Android host apps, not in a web browser. It needs a paid plan or the trial; the Home plan cannot host offline. Only Family Feud and Jeopardy run offline. Trivia, Name That Tune and Music Bingo always need a connection.
Sign in to the desktop app while online
Install the Quizado desktop app and log in while you have internet. The app checks your plan and keeps it for offline use.
Download your question sets
In the sidebar, open Custom Questions and click Family Feud or Jeopardy. Click Download all Feud & Jeopardy to store every set on this computer.
Check the Offline Library
Click Offline Library in the sidebar. Your sets appear under Stored sets, and the storage bar shows the space they use.
Start a game with no connection
Click New Game. Choose Family Feud or Jeopardy, pick a downloaded set and click Start game. The game runs on this computer.
Keep going when the connection drops
If the internet drops during an online Family Feud or Jeopardy night, the app shows The connection dropped. Click Continue offline to keep playing on this computer.
Let the night upload
When the connection comes back, the app uploads the night by itself. Leave the app open until it finishes syncing.
Tips
- Download your sets the day before, on the computer you will host from.
- Offline, phone buzzers do not work. Teams answer out loud and you mark the board.
- The Continue offline offer appears about 20 seconds after the connection drops, so a short blip does not interrupt the night.
Questions
Can I run Trivia offline?
No. Trivia players answer on their phones over the internet, so Trivia always needs a connection. Use Family Feud or Jeopardy when the venue has no internet.
Does offline play work in the browser?
No. The web app at app.quizado.com needs a connection. Use the desktop app, or the Quizado app on an iPhone, iPad or Android device.
How long can I stay offline?
The app keeps working offline while your plan is active, plus 7 days after it ends. After that, go online once so the app can check your plan.
Do offline nights count in my history?
Yes. When the connection comes back, the app uploads the night and it appears in History.
