You need sound in the room: connect your computer to the venue speakers. Name That Tune with the free Name That Tune Starter pack works on every plan, the free Home plan too. Premium music packs need Starter. Your own playlists need Pro to host.
Choose Name That Tune
Select New Game in the sidebar, then select the Name That Tune card.
Pick a music pack
Step 2 opens on Music Packs. Select a pack, for example Name That Tune Starter.
Open the lobby
Under Review & launch, select Start game. The lobby opens, and teams join on their phones with the code.
Start the game
When the teams are in, select Start Game. Then select Start: with the round name, or press SPACE, to open the first song.
Play the clip
The clip starts on its own in the music dock, marked Only you see this. Select Replay to play it again. The big screen shows no title.
Reveal the song
Teams pick the title on their phones. When answering closes, select Reveal Answer to show the song, then Next Question.
Tips
- Clip length is a round setting. Every song in the round plays for the same time.
- You hold the venue's music licence for anything you play.
- Your imported playlists live under Music Packs in the sidebar. In New Game, pick My Music Packs or Paste a playlist URL to play them.
Questions
Can the room see the song title or the video?
No. The video plays only in the music dock on your screen. The big screen shows the question and the answer options, and the title appears on the reveal.
Can I use my own Spotify or YouTube playlist?
Yes. In New Game, pick Paste a playlist URL. Building the game is free on every plan, and hosting your own songs needs Pro.
Where does the sound come from?
From the device you host on. Connect it to the venue speakers before the night.
