This is for Trivia and works on every plan. You remove a team on the host panel, in the lobby or during the game.
Find the team under Scores
On the host panel, find the team under Scores. Before the game starts, the team is in the lobby under Teams.
Click Remove team
Click the Remove team button, the x on the team's row. The browser asks if you want to remove the team from the game. Click OK. The team leaves the scoreboard, and its score goes with it.
The team's phones are disconnected
Every phone of that team leaves the game. It shows this message: "The host removed your team from the game. Create a team or join one to keep playing."
The players can join again
On the phone, the players tap Create a team or Join an existing team. A team that joins during the game waits for you: click Let them in at the top of the host panel. The new team starts at 0 points.
Tips
- Remove a team only when it left or joined by mistake. You cannot undo it, and the score does not come back.
- A team that is out in a Knockout round is still in the game. Do not remove it: it plays again in the next round.
- To keep a removed team out, click Decline when it asks to join again.
Questions
Does a removed team keep its points?
No. The points go with the team. If the players join again, their new team starts at 0 points.
Can a removed team join again?
Yes. The players create a team or join one on their phones. During the game, a new team waits until you click Let them in, unless New teams is set to Let them in.
Is a removed team the same as a knocked-out team?
No. A removed team is disconnected and out of the game. A knocked-out team only sits out the rest of one Knockout round, keeps its score, and plays again in the next round.
