This is for Trivia, on every plan. The free Home plan admits up to 4 player phones per game, and every phone counts, teammates' phones too. One phone per team keeps more teams inside that limit. Paid plans and the 7-day trial have no phone limit.
The first phone creates the team
A player opens the join link, taps Create a team and types a team name. That phone is the team's captain.
Teammates ask to join
On another phone, a teammate opens the same link, taps Join an existing team, types their name and taps the team.
The captain lets them in
The captain's phone shows the request. The captain taps Approve, or declines. Your panel shows who joined and that the captain approved it.
One team, several phones
Under Teams on your panel, the team shows once, with its number of players.
Answer as a team
Any phone in the team can answer. The team gives one answer per question, and it can change it until answering closes.
Tips
- A team on one phone plays exactly like a bigger team: pass the phone around the table.
- Only the captain can rename the team or change its colour and emoji. Every player can change their own name.
- You can let a teammate in from your panel too: a banner shows the join request with Let them in and Decline.
Questions
Do all teammates need a phone?
No. One phone per team is enough. Extra phones are optional.
What happens if two teammates answer differently?
The team has one answer. The latest answer sent before answering closes is the one that counts.
Why can't a fifth phone join on the free plan?
The Home plan admits up to 4 player phones per game, teammates included. Share a phone per team, or upgrade for no phone limit.
