Everything here works on the free Home plan. On Home, up to 4 player phones can join a Trivia game, and you get 2 game starts in any 24 hours. Paid plans and the 7-day trial have no phone limit.
A device to run the game
Use a computer with a web browser at app.quizado.com, the Quizado desktop app, or the Quizado mobile apps. This is your host panel: only you see it.
A screen the room can see
Use a TV, a projector or a second monitor. Click Game Screen on the host panel and move the window to it. Or open your venue's screen link in a browser on the computer connected to the TV.
An internet connection
The host device and the players' phones need internet. Players can use the venue Wi-Fi or their mobile data. Trivia always needs internet.
Players' phones
Players join Trivia in their phone browser with the QR code or the code on the big screen. They need no app and no account. One phone per team is enough.
A speaker for music rounds
Catch That Tune and Music Bingo play song clips, so connect the big screen or your computer to a speaker the room can hear. Other games play short sound effects on the Game Screen.
Tips
- Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory can run without player phones: teams shout their answers and you mark them on the host panel.
- In the desktop app and the mobile apps, Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory also run without internet on a paid plan or in the trial. The browser cannot host offline.
- Test the setup before the night: start a game, open the Game Screen on the TV and join from your own phone.

Do players need to download an app?
No. Players join in the phone browser. They do not need an app or an account.
Can I host from a phone or tablet?
Yes. The Quizado apps for iOS and Android run the host panel. You still need a screen the room can see.
Can I run a quiz with no internet?
Trivia needs internet. Family Face-Off, QuizoParty and Territory can run offline in the desktop app or the mobile apps, on a paid plan or in the trial.
