This works the same on every plan. The big screen can be the Game Screen window from your host panel, or your venue screen link open on another computer.
Wake the host screen
If the big screen says Waiting for the host, your host laptop or tab lost its connection or went to sleep. Wake the laptop and open the game's control panel again. The big screen catches up by itself.
Reload the big screen
If the big screen stays blank or frozen, reload that browser tab or window. It reconnects and shows the game where it is now.
Use your venue screen link
A bare /display address does not know your venue, so it tells you to open the screen from the host app. Click Game Screen on your host panel, or use your venue's screen address that ends in /display/ and your venue number. That screen follows every game at your venue.
Take over from another device
If you open the game on a second device, Quizado says it is Hosted on another device. Click Take over to move the host controls to the device in front of you. The other device stops hosting.
Keep the screen in front
Keep the big screen window in front and in full screen, and stop the laptop from sleeping during the game. A screen in the background or a laptop on battery saving can stop updating.
Tips
- While the host is away, the phones tell players their team, their score and anything they already sent are safe.
- Between games the venue screen shows See you next time. It moves to the next game on its own.
Questions
Do we lose the scores when the host disconnects?
No. The game waits for the host. When the host comes back, the game goes on from where it was.
Can I run the big screen from a different computer?
Yes. Open your venue screen link in a browser on the computer connected to the TV. It needs no login.
