Anyone can upload a file and see the preview. The final import needs the Business plan, and the 7-day trial includes it. You also need the rights to the questions you upload.
Open Bulk import
In the sidebar, open Custom Questions. At the top of the page, click Bulk import.
Choose the format and language
Under Choose a format, pick Trivia, Family Feud or Jeopardy. Under Language, pick the language of your questions. One file holds one language. The list offers English, Deutsch and Polski.
Fill in the template
Click Download template. It is a ZIP with a spreadsheet and an images folder. Keep the column order, put one question on each row and add pictures to the images folder if you want them.
Upload your file
Drop the file on the upload area, or click Choose file. Trivia takes the ZIP only. Family Feud and Jeopardy also take a bare .xlsx or .csv file when you have no pictures.
Check the preview
The preview lists every row. A row with a problem names its row number and how to fix it. Nothing imports until every row is fixed. Correct the file, then use Re-upload fixed file.
Confirm the rights and import
Tick I have the rights to this content, then click the Import button, which shows the number of questions. When it finishes, click View questions to see them.
Tips
- Put the correct answer in the Answer 1 column. The other answer columns hold the wrong options.
- The Set column groups rows into question sets, so one file can create several sets.
- The import runs in the background. You can leave the page and come back to it later.
- Split a very large file into batches of up to 1000 rows.
Questions
Can I try bulk import on the free plan?
Yes. You can upload a file and see the full preview on every plan. The last step, the import itself, needs Business. Your file and preview stay open, so you can import right after you upgrade.
Which file types does it accept?
A ZIP with the spreadsheet and an images folder. Family Feud and Jeopardy also take a plain .xlsx or .csv file, but Trivia needs the ZIP. Pictures can be JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, each under 10 MB.
Where do my imported questions go?
Trivia questions appear under Custom Questions, in the My questions tab, ready to add to a pack. Family Feud and Jeopardy rows become question sets on that game's page under Custom Questions, and you can start a game from them.
