How do I make my own Territory categories?

Upload your own pictures, give each one an answer, and put your categories in a night next to the Quizado categories.

Every plan

Captions are on the video.

Before you start

You can build categories and nights on every plan. A category plays once it has 60 pictures with an answer. To host a night with your own pictures you need Pro or Business, a trial or a Full Event Pass. A night made only of Quizado categories plays on every plan.

  1. Open Territory

Open Custom Questions in the sidebar and choose Territory.

  2. Make a category

Click New category and give it a name in Category name, for example the name of your team. To let the AI make one, click New category with AI. To bring categories from a file, click Bulk import.

  3. Upload the pictures

Drop your pictures on Drop pictures here or click to choose. A category holds up to 200 pictures. With Use file names as answers on, a file called Anna Kowalska.jpg gets the answer Anna Kowalska.

  4. Check the answers

Type the answer under each picture that has none. Add other answers you accept under Also accept. The counter shows how many pictures are ready: 60 make the category playable.

  5. Build a night

Click Back, open the Nights tab and click New night. Click Add categories and tick categories under Your categories and Quizado categories, then click Done. Under Reserve (optional) you can choose a category that stands in when another cannot play.

  6. Play your night

Select New Game, then Territory. Under Pick a night, choose your night under Your nights, then select Play.

Tips

  • Make a category per department and let the teams fight for their colleagues' faces.
  • Photos of people need their permission. Only upload pictures you may use.
  • Only pictures with an answer count. Pictures named IMG_1234 or Screenshot get no answer from the file name.
  • You can upload up to 240 pictures an hour. If you reach the limit, click Retry a little later.
  • New category with AI: type a Topic, pick the Language of the answers and 60, 75 or 90 Pictures, then click Write the category. Each picture uses 1 AI question. The AI draws realistic photos, and you get the AI questions back for pictures that fail its check.
  • Not happy with a picture? Open it and click New AI picture. The AI draws its first answer again for 1 AI question.
  • Bulk import fills categories from one ZIP: a sheet with the columns Category, Picture, Answer and Other accepted answers, plus an images folder. It needs Business.

Questions

Why does my category not show in setup?

A category plays at 60 pictures with an answer. Under that, the night skips it, or its reserve plays in its place. A night with no playable category shows Needs 60 pictures in a category under Pick a night on New Game.

Do I need a paid plan?

Not to build. Categories and nights are free on every plan. To host a night that holds your own pictures you need Pro or Business, a trial or a Full Event Pass. Such a night shows the plan it needs under Pick a night on New Game.

Can I use my night offline?

Yes, in the desktop app and the mobile apps. Download the night while you are online: with Download for offline under Pick a night in the desktop app, or by opening it in the mobile apps. Offline play needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial.

Can I build categories in the Mobile Apps?

Yes. The Mobile Apps have the same editor: categories, pictures from your photo library, answers and nights, with Bulk import and AI.

What does an AI category need?

Pro or Business, a trial or a Full Event Pass, and AI questions: 1 for each picture, so 60, 75 or 90 for a category. The AI tile on New Game > Territory opens the same form.
