Offline play works in the Quizado desktop app and the iOS and Android host apps, not in a browser; the web app shows a notice that offline is for the apps. It needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Only Family Feud and Jeopardy run offline.
Open the app while you are online
Sign in to the desktop or mobile app with a connection. The app checks your plan and keeps it for offline use.
Download your sets
Open Custom Questions, pick Family Feud or Jeopardy, and click Download on a set, or Download all Feud & Jeopardy for every set at once.
Get everything for tonight
Open Settings > Offline mode and click Download everything for tonight. Turn on Auto-download my next scheduled games to store the sets for your next 3 scheduled Feud or Jeopardy games whenever you have a connection.
Check the Offline Library
Click Offline Library in the sidebar. Stored sets lists what is on this device, and Storage on this machine shows how much space it uses.
Rehearse offline
In Settings > Offline mode, click Run an offline test game. Quizado acts as if there is no connection, so you can check the night from your downloads. Click Stop the offline test when you are done.
Tips
- Under Storage limit for offline sets you choose how much space downloads may use. When it is full, the oldest unpinned sets are removed first.
- When Download over mobile hotspot is off, large sets wait for Wi-Fi.
- A set you edit offline waits to sync. Clearing downloads keeps sets with edits waiting to sync.
Questions
Can I download Trivia packs for offline use?
No. Trivia players answer on their phones over the internet, so Trivia always needs a connection. Only Family Feud and Jeopardy run offline.
Why can I not download anything in the browser?
A browser tab cannot store question sets or run a game without a connection. Use the Quizado desktop app or the mobile host app.
Does the free plan include offline play?
No. Offline play needs a paid plan or the 7-day Business trial.
How long can I stay offline?
While your plan is active, plus 7 days after it ends. After that, go online once so the app can check your plan.
