Event Passes are sold on the web only: on quizado.com and in the web app. The desktop app opens the checkout in your browser. The Base Pass includes everything in Starter. The Full Pass includes everything in Business. The Commercial Pass includes everything in Business and the right to sell the game as part of an event you organise for a client company. Each pass also gives 50 AI questions when it starts.
Open Event Passes
In the sidebar, click Settings, then Plan & billing. Under Event Passes you see the three passes and every pass you already have.
Buy a pass
Click Buy on the pass you want. Stripe's secure checkout opens, where you can add a company tax id. You get an invoice. In the desktop app, the checkout opens in your browser.
No plan? Your first game starts it
If you have no paid plan, start a game as usual. Your first game after the purchase starts the pass, and that start does not count toward the daily limit of the free plan. The 72 hours run from then. That first game can already use what the pass includes, such as a premium pack. The start button says which pass it starts.
Have a plan? Start it when you want
On a paid plan the pass waits, so a normal weekly game never uses it. Click Start pass now in Plan & billing. When you start a game, Quizado also asks if you want to start the pass: click Start pass, or Not now to keep it.
Watch the time left
Plan & billing shows Active and the hours left on the pass. When the 72 hours end, your account goes back to its own plan.
Tips
- An unused pass stays valid for 12 months from the day you buy it.
- One pass runs at a time. You can hold several unused passes and start the next one when the active one has ended.
- Hosting more than once? A plan gives you a full month for the same price.
- Offline play in the desktop and mobile apps also ends when the pass ends.
Questions
Who needs the Commercial Pass?
A company, such as an events agency or a production company, that sells a game made with Quizado as part of an event it organises for a client. It needs one Commercial Pass for each client event. Pubs, bars and venues that earn money from food, drinks or entry are fine on any plan, and so is a host, DJ or MC hired for the night.
I already have a plan. Can I still buy a pass?
Yes. For example, a Starter host can buy a Full Pass for one big event. The pass waits until you start it, so your plan and the pass never overlap by accident.
Can I buy a pass in the iPhone or Android app?
No. Passes are sold on the web only, on quizado.com or in the web app. Once a pass is active, its features work in every app you host from.
Does a pass use my AI questions?
No. Each pass adds 50 AI questions when it starts. If you need more, you can buy AI questions as packs.
