Writing with AI needs a paid plan and AI questions: Starter gets 250 a month, Pro 500 and Business 2,000. Each question the AI delivers uses one AI question. Every paid plan, Starter included, can host the game the AI writes.
Open Generate with AI
In the sidebar, click New Game and choose Trivia. Scroll down and click Generate with AI. The AI questions open on their own screen, with three steps: Describe, Plan and Review.
Describe your quiz
Tap a topic or type your own brief under Describe your quiz. Under How long do you want the game to be?, pick 30 min, 45 min, 1 h, 1.5 h or 2 h. The line below shows the rounds and questions that length plans, and the cost line shows the AI questions they use. Pick a Difficulty, then click Plan my game. Planning is free.
Check the plan
Under Here's the plan, each round shows its name, its scoring style and a chip for each question type in it, such as Number, Order or Drawing. Change a Round name or Round type, swap or remove a round, or click Add a round. To drop a question type, turn it off in the plan and Quizado rebuilds the rounds without it. Switch on Classic only for plain multiple choice. No AI questions are spent yet.
Write the questions
Click Write the questions. The button shows the cost in AI questions. Writing usually takes about a minute. You can leave this screen while it writes. New Game offers to pick the game up: click Pick it up on the Generate with AI tile.
Review each question
Click Edit - free to fix a question, or Reject - free to drop it and Undo to bring it back. Rejecting is free for up to 3 in 10 of the questions you generate; beyond that a rejected question still uses its AI question and the button reads Reject.
Open the lobby
When you are happy, click Use these 20 questions. The number is how many you kept. Quizado saves the pack to your packs and opens the lobby.
Tips
- Your AI questions balance shows at the top of the brief. Click Top up to buy more.
- A brief works best when it names the crowd and the mood, for example an office party or a music night.
- The pack stays under Custom Questions, so you can edit it or play it again later.
Questions
Do I pay for a plan I do not use?
No. Planning is free. AI questions are spent only when you click Write the questions, and the cost shows before you click.
What happens to my AI questions if the AI fails?
If the AI cannot write the questions, your AI questions come back to your balance.
Can I host the AI pack on Starter?
Yes. Every paid plan, Starter included, can host a game the AI wrote. If you add questions you wrote yourself to the pack, hosting it needs Pro or Business.
Does the AI add pictures?
About 1 question in 6 is a picture question: the picture is the question. A Picture round, where every question has a picture, can appear in games of 60 minutes or more. A picture can show anything the question names, but never the right answer.
How many questions does each game length plan?
30 min plans 6 rounds and about 23 questions (about 23 AI questions), 45 min 7 rounds of 5 (35), 1 h 8 rounds of 6 (48), 1.5 h 9 rounds of 8 (72) and 2 h 10 rounds of 9 (90). The answer clock is 30 seconds for most types, 40 for a number, 45 for an order or a typed answer and 75 for a drawing, plus about 25 seconds for you per question. A round change takes 30 seconds, and the game never plans longer than the length you pick. With Classic only on, the same time holds more questions. You can still change the rounds on the plan before you pay.
Which question types does the AI use?
Every game mixes multiple choice, pick several, number, order (line the items up), typed answers, drawings and pictures. Each type that is on appears at least once in the game. Song questions, Majority wins and Audience vote appear only when your brief asks for them. A brief that asks for music gets a music round of song clips, where teams hear each clip and name the song (the clips play on Pro and Business). The weekly catalog packs use the same mix.
Can I turn question types off?
Yes. On the plan, turn a type off and Quizado rebuilds the rounds without it. The last type that is on cannot be turned off. Switch on Classic only and every question is multiple choice.
Who marks the drawings?
About 1 question in 20 is a drawing. It never comes in the final wager round or in a speed round. With AI marking on in Auto-Host, AI marks the drawings for 1 AI question each. With it off, you mark the drawings by hand.
Are there breaks in an AI game?
A real 4-minute break comes after about 35 minutes of play, at the next round change. Between other rounds there is a 30-second round change. The Up next card on the big screen names the answer types of the next round.
