Have you ever imagined what it would be like to take part in a popular TV game show? Well, now you have a chance to play Family Feud with your friends and family!
Family Feud is a fun game for any kind of parties and gatherings. It will be a perfect entertainment for game nights, virtual happy hours, trade shows, Christmas parties or even weddings and bachelorette parties. It's also possible to play it over Zoom or other video conferencing app.
In this article, we’ve put everything you need to know to play Family Feud. We’ve also included sample questions that you can find in our Family Feud app.
If you find these questions not enough for your game, we have even more samples which you can check our here!
First, download the Quizado app, which is a professional Family Feud simulator. It has over 150+ survey questions (see sample questions below) and you can add your own questions too.
Quizado makes for a true game show experience - it has a digital scoreboard that displays the rounds and calculates points. There are even sound effects to make the game more authentic and exciting.
One person from the group has to be designed as the host of the game. This person will be inviting players to the buzzer, reading the questions aloud, marking correct answers and assigning strikes when a player provides an incorrect answer.
Gather two teams on the opposite sides of the room. We recommend five people per team, but smaller or larger groups will work too. The only thing you should keep in mind is that teams should be divided equally.
Quizado comes with an in-app buzzer. However, if you’re not organizing a special event (wedding, trade show, etc.), a less professional solution will work: a squeaky toy, a tap on the table, or anything that comes to your mind.
Each Quizado set has 6 questions, which accounts for about 20 minutes of gameplay. After all 6 questions have been played, the game is over and the game screen announces the winning team. You can play another set if you want to extend the game. Quizado has over 20 sets of survey questions and you can always create your own thanks to the Questions Editor (all game features are available here)
The rules of the game are very simple and if you’ve ever watched Family Feud you’ll be playing in no time.
When all teams are gathered, each team designates a Team Leader who will face off the first question. The Host invites Team Leaders in front of the buzzer.
The host is the only player who can see the questions and answers. Keep in mind that each question has several correct answers, each scoring a different number of points. Whoever presses the buzzer first, gets to answer the question. The Host can activate the countdown sound to put some time pressure on the player. There are only 5 seconds to answer, so be quick!
The team of the player whose answer was worth the most points gets to start the round.
Players from that team make guesses one at a time, in order. An incorrect answer earns this team a strike. If a team guesses all the answers before earning three strikes, they score this round’s points.
For every wrong answer the team gives, they will receive one strike. After three strikes, the opposing team has only ONE chance to guess the remaining answer. If they provide the correct answer, all points are transferred to them.
The board clears off and the next question comes up. The Host invites new players of each team to the buzzer. Simply repeat the steps above.
Here are sample questions from Quizado - a Family Feud style game. Once you purchase the license, you’ll get access to 150+ survey questions.
