You can change the scoring of any round on every plan, including Home. The Music Bingo round type needs Business.
Open Round Settings
In the pack builder, pick a round and click Edit round settings. The Round Settings window opens.
Pick how teams answer and score
Under Round Type, pick Buzzer Race, Fastest Finger, Everyone Scores, Majority Rules, Knockout or Wager. Each card says who scores.
Set the points
Under Points per Question, pick a value, or type your own number in Custom.
Penalize wrong answers
Under Scoring rules, turn on Penalize wrong answers. Choose Percentage of question value or Fixed amount. The line under the switch says if a team that does not answer pays too.
Reward fast teams
Turn on Speed scoring: reward faster correct answers and pick the Max speed bonus. The fastest correct answer earns the most.
Save the round
Click Save. The bar above the questions now shows the round type, points and penalty.
Tips
- In a Knockout round, a wrong answer or no answer ends the round for that team, and no points are lost.
- The speed bonus counts on multiple-choice answers only. Slider and open-ended questions never earn it.
- Without a time limit, the speed bonus runs out after a fixed window. The note under the switch shows how long.
Questions
Does a team that does not answer lose points?
With the penalty on, yes in most round types: no answer costs the same as a wrong answer. In Fastest Finger it costs only when nobody got it right, and in Buzzer Race only the team that buzzed and ran out of time pays.
Why can't I turn on the penalty in a Knockout or Wager round?
Those rounds have their own rules. Knockout takes no points, and in Wager the teams bet their own points.
